The PC story is that I wrote this song for my son.
Each day I would play bass or guitar for him to go to sleep for his early afternoon nap. Usually bass. Cool stories about which songs worked best.
This song “I’m Certain I’m Not Sure” was his favorite dance song. Probably didn’t play this song or he’d jump out of his bunk bed and start dancing around the living room as I played my Rickenbacker 4000 bass through my Marshall Mk II amp.
When I did play or practice “I’m Certain I’m Not Sure” it was with the phone off the hook and my Utah girlfriend xxxxing herself to my throbbing pulsing bass jamming. I only use flatwound strings so that my bass sounds like early Motown songs that I grew up on.
